Inside America: An Analysis of the Capitalistic Domination of Mexican Farmworkers

Abstract


The following essay is a collection of the how the American ideal affects me and Mexican immigrant farmworkers. I analyze capitalism’s role in the creation and hindrance of the agricultural labor community. Also I discuss various historical events and individuals that have been a part of the “Americanization” process and its effects. I present the health exposures and the Federal Laws established in respect to the safety of the farmworkers. I also discuss my involvement in and purpose of The Center for the Health Assessment of Mothers and Children of Salinas (CHAMACOS). And lastly, I analyze how Critical Race Theory is a device for understanding minority groups in America.
